Some birthdays deserve more than a restaurant table. They deserve a whole day at sea.

For this special celebration, we welcomed a Romanian family staying at Porto Carras Meliton Hotel, who asked us to organize a full-day birthday cruise from morning until sunset. We took care of every detail: the birthday cake, balloons and boat decorations, catering on board, and a reserved table at one of our favorite seaside restaurants. All our guests had to do was step aboard Roxani and enjoy the day.

We departed from our base at Porto Carras Marina and set sail toward Kelifos Island, also known as Turtle Island because of its distinctive shape when viewed from the south. We dropped anchor in the clear Aegean waters for our first swim of the day — the perfect beginning to a birthday celebration on the sea.

From Kelifos, we continued south toward Panos Restaurant, near Agios Kyriaki, where we docked directly at their private pier. Our guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this famous destination for sailors and food lovers. We always love bringing our passengers to our friends at Panos, where great Greek food and genuine hospitality are part of the experience.

After lunch, we returned to Roxani and continued our cruise toward the beach near Poseidon Resort, south of Spalatronisia. Here, the afternoon was all about relaxing and enjoying the water. We anchored for swimming, paddleboarding, sunbathing, and floating around in our big inflatable rings — exactly the kind of carefree summer afternoon a birthday cruise calls for.

Later, we sailed north again toward the southern cove of Agios Kyriaki, where our hostess prepared and served a beautiful onboard dinner buffet. With the yacht safely at anchor, the family enjoyed a relaxed culinary evening surrounded by the sea.

But the birthday day wasn’t over yet.

After dinner, we raised Roxani’s anchor and sailed toward a carefully selected sunset anchorage in a small secluded cove surrounded by pine forests and tiny beaches. As the evening settled in, the only soundtrack was the gentle sea and the characteristic chorus of cicadas coming from the shore.

Then the sun turned the sky orange and slowly disappeared below the horizon.

With the last light fading over the Aegean, we set sail back toward Porto Carras, bringing this unforgettable birthday celebration to a close.

A birthday cake, a yacht covered in balloons, great Greek food, crystal-clear water, swimming, paddleboarding, and a sunset at sea — a full day of memories, carefully created from morning until the last light.
